CURATORIAL EXPERIENCE

2005 - 2008      Associate Director, Beall Center of Art + Technology, University of California at Irvine

Direct the artist projects and curate exhibitions for the Beall’s black-box media arts gallery. Programs and manage the gallery space; assist artists in realizing their projects, provide installation assistance and expert technical advice, and supervise the facility and its staff. Serve as a member of the Executive Board that makes final decisions on all of the Beall’s artist’s projects and exhibitions; curate selected exhibitions and participate in collaborative programs with other institutions.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

2010         Visiting Faculty, Claire Trevor School of the Arts, University of California at Irvine
                 Taught Digital X, a media arts course that culminated with an exhibition at the Beall Center
                 for Art + Technology.

2005-       Taught undergraduate studio art courses in photography and digital media, as well
2006          a visual culture course, Representation, Time and Form.

2002-      Visiting Faculty, San Francisco Art Institute
2003        Taught courses in critical studies, digital media, history and theory.

Graduate courses: From the Cave to the Fold (philosophy and theories of new media/ technologies);
Time, Memory and Narrative (investigating these concepts in photography, film, and new media).

Undergraduate courses: Digital Theory and Practice and The Artist in Cyberspace: Intermediate Authoring for Net.Art and the Web.

2002       Responsible for developing curriculum for Digital Media program in the Art Department, overseeing the computer lab and teaching courses in Art in the Computer Age, Computer Imaging and                 Constructing Web-sites.
